nainai

The sexual needs of middle-aged and elderly women are often overlooked in modern society, particularly within the cultural context of China. nainai is a brand of sexual products aimed at Chinese elderly women, which seeks to get rid of the constraints of sexual purity and cleanliness imposed on women. nainai also aims to challenge moral and stereotypical beliefs surrounding the elderly.

nainai focuses on sexual products that are female-friendly and intended for self-pleasure. The package design features direct and large-font Chinese text descriptions, along with bold illustrations and color schemes, and a humorous advertising campaign that seeks to remove the taboo surrounding sexuality. Additionally, nainai also self-publishes a newspaper with a focus on sexual health education for middle-aged and elderly women, as well as stories about sexual experiences and exploration. Each issue is included as a complimentary item with each product purchase.

Through this project, I hope that every grandmother (pronounce /nainai/ in Chinese) with sexual desires can feel free to express themselves without shame or judgment.
